Brent, Thanks for reminding me of your house on Mission Drive. I too can recall some of those days because I was going through a period of my life that was not easy. Your mom and dad brought me through this crisis and many fond memories remain with me when I would drive up from Tulsa to eat beans and cornbread. Many times I would bring my girls with me and they always loved playing with you kids. It shows you how God, through good friends can take you through a storm in your life. Thanks for being a good friend and thanks for having such a great mom and dad. Your buddy George

George, you were a part of the dinner conversation around our table many times and I remember Carrie and Monica coming over and playing. Lot’s of fun. Are beans and cornbread
better tasting in our memory or is it just the folks with whom we ate them that make such a simple food taste delicious? I guess the cook was pretty good too! Thanks for commenting and reading these since they are really long. I’ve got to learn how to write shorter stuff. bt

Brent, I didn’t faint – just feel grateful to God that you navigated through times when you were given too much freedom from a Mom who wanted to be “cool” instead of protective. So I need forgiveness also for that lack of wisdom. You and your siblings are amazing people because God is your Anchor and Guide. Keep writing! I love you, Mom

Wow Bubba, your stories flood the memory waves of my soul! I don’t know how you remember it all but your words paint a vivid picture of fond childhood days. Don’t stop writing… I love it! TT
